Cyber Incident Reporting Burdens
A recent report from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) found that the existing patchwork of cyber incident reporting requirements puts undue burden on organizations who fall under multiple agencies. Given the evolving cyber environment, the DHS proposes a harmonization effort of new and amended requirements to help ensure impacted organizations can effectively mitigate cyber incidents while regulators can receive sufficient, consistent information.
In this session of RadarFirst Investigates, we examine the challenges DHS found with coordinating cyber reporting, the potential barriers to achieving the ambitious DHS harmonization efforts, and discuss how organizations can connect the dots between existing regulations to create holistic governance, risk, and compliance policies.
